Principal's Message - June 2008
I can’t believe how quickly this year has gone by. A special thank you
to our many Parent Volunteers. Parents who volunteer are a valuable
and important component of the success of our school and its many
programs. We need and greatly appreciate the thousands of hours donated
each year in our classrooms. Parent volunteers are reflective of the
excellent partnership between home and school that enhances and enriches
the educational opportunities for our young people. Our volunteers help in
many ways: working in classrooms; volunteering in special programs like
Adventures in Art, or running the library, running and collating teacher
papers (TAP) or the weekly newsletters for distribution (PIP), sharing
jobs, careers or special interests as guest speakers; donating money to
support school programs; helping at home preparing teacher materials;
donating time at the Jog-A-Thon, Bike Rodeo, Fall Fundraiser or other
special events; and the list goes on and on. This year we invited over 140
active Arlington parent volunteers to participate in the Volunteer Tea on
June 3rd, 2008.
While this event can’t show the enormity of our gratefulness to each of
you, we hope you were able to attend, and enjoyed the event hosted by our
teachers. Please know how much we appreciate what you do!
Arlington parent volunteers are the best and the new administrator has
no idea how lucky he/she is going to be! I know I have been truly blessed
the last three years! Thank you!
