PTA President's Message - December 2007
Hello Arlington Families,
Wow, this year has sped by in the blink of an eye. Thanks to all the
families who came out to get their shopping started at our annual Holiday
Marketplace. Deanna Takahashi did a terrific job coordinating all the
vendors to make this PTA event successful. Thanks also to the many
volunteers who manned the bake sale booths and the fifth grade food booths
they were the hit of the Marketplace! Thanks also to all the parents who
donated food for these booths and to Mr. Kamida and his musically gifted
students who provided entertainment.
The holiday season is upon us. It is time for enjoying traditions with
friends and family and making memories to cherish. Our own Arlington
traditions have started as well. Take a look at the bulletin board as you
drop your children off in the morning. This year Arlington families have
an opportunity to help the School on Wheels Program, which brings
school to kids in shelters who have no school. Take a school bus with
donation requests and have your child pick up some supplies and help those
less fortunate. Look for a box in front of the office to drop off your
donations. Thanks to Linda Corello for coordinating this program. We will
also be having our Annual Holiday Program on Thursday, December 13th,
at 6:30pm, with entertainment provided by the first grade students. There
will be a brief PTA association meeting prior to the program with
refreshments provided by the PTA. I hope you will take a few moments to
join us.
Throughout this busy holiday, I hope you will be able to take some time to
relax and enjoy the season as you celebrate with family and friends.
Please stay safe as we enter into 2008.
Wishing you and your families a wonderful Holiday and a joyous New Year.
Together We Can,
Miho Noda
PTA President
