PTA President's Message - March 2008Hello Arlington Families, We want to congratulate Mrs. Sally Miyagishima, Mrs. Jennifer Nakano, Mrs. Stephanie Ueda, and Mrs. Wendy Higa, our four well deserving recipients of PTA’s Honorary Service Award. This award is given out to an individual in special recognition of outstanding service to children and youth. We are so fortunate to have these wonderful women who make Arlington Elementary School a great place to learn, grow and thrive. Congratulations to all of our PTA Reflections winners, who were also honored at the PTA Association Meeting on February 21, 2008. Special thanks to those individuals behind the scenes who made the evening of surprises possible: Leigh Ikemiya, Barbara Crawford, Lena Seitz, and Gary Eddow. We also want to thank the fourth grade students and their wonderful teachers Ms. Mand, Mrs. Nakano, and Ms. Conway, for providing the evenings’ entertainment, along with special performances from Ryan Mand, Justin Baba, and Richie Mashiko. I hope you were all able to come out and enjoy some quality family time eating a fantastic Lomeli’s dinner at Arlington on Friday, February 29, 2008. Thank you to Pam Shigeta and Michelle Sabihon for organizing this fun family evening with our fifth grade waiters and waitresses.
